Hormones are responsible.
When we are women constantly our close ones pressure to start a family quickly. Almost always people tell you that having younger children is a benefit, as your body will "recover" faster and you will have energy for your babies. However, a study by the Journal American Geriatrics Society states that women who have pregnancies up to age 35 could gain many benefits and not talk about physical but mental benefits.

According to the study, having children after age 35 not only makes your brain more powerful, but also prevents memory loss in old age.
830 women with menopause were sampled and assessed for their verbal memory, executive function skills and overall cognition. Each with different ages when it comes to being mothers, number of children, among other factors.
The study finally found that women who had had a pregnancy after age 35 had a higher verbal memory. And not only that, but those who had their menstruation before 13 had a stronger global cognition.
The study also found that the longer reproductive period and the use of oral contraceptives also positively influence the functioning of the brain in the elderly.
Another result showed that women who had their first child between the ages of 15 and 24 were found to have worse health and cognitive functions at age 40.
What would be the reason?
Increased levels of hormones during pregnancy positively influence brain functions. The researchers then concluded that when women become pregnant later, changes in the brain will last for a long time longer.
"While it is still not enough to suggest that women wait until after age 35 to stop having children, our finding of a positive effect between late pregnancy and cognitive functions at advanced age is substantial"
So if you are one of those women who still wants to wait a few years to start having a family, but you feel pressured by society to have a baby before, you better not let yourself be convinced, because your decision could affect the functioning Of your brain when you are more adult.
